version 1.7.0- ChangedPage controls no longer crowd out the title. On a project or a context, Export and Edit sit behind a three dots button, and on Discarded the Delete all button has its own row above the list.
- NewA Menu button now sits beside the title on pages you open from the menu, like Account, Settings, Guide, Logbook and Discarded. It takes you one step back, to the page you were on, with the menu open again.
- ChangedThe menu button now changes shape as you use it: its three lines fold into a cross when the menu opens, and back into three lines when it closes.
- FixedClosing the menu is clean now, with no blink. The next bar and the close button keep their place while the menu panel slides away.
- FixedThe menu now marks where you are on the Projects and Contexts pages. Their headers light up the way the Areas one already did.
- ChangedThe phone menu now fills the screen, and the next bar stays usable while it is open, so you can search or capture without closing the menu first. Your account sits at the end of the list in a group that starts folded, with Account, Settings, Guide, Feedback and Discarded inside it.

version 1.6.6- ChangedThe menu button on your phone now sits at the bottom right, where your thumb reaches it. The menu opens from the bottom and covers the screen, so project, context and area names have room to show in full.
- NewAlt + C now switches compact tasks on and off from any screen, so you do not have to open Settings. Your choice is saved to your account, and the guide lists the key under Keyboard.
- FixedIdle time costs less now: tingdo uses less power while it is open and nothing is happening. The soft light around the main buttons moves only while your pointer is on them, and it looks the same as before.

version 1.6.5- NewSearch in the next bar ranks better and shows you why a result matches. A word that starts with what you typed comes before a word that only contains it, and the matching word is highlighted, also for a typo or a partial word.
- FixedThe logo screen no longer appears for a wait that is already over. It waits a moment first, so opening tingdo with your data on the device goes straight to your list, and a longer wait still gets the logo.

version 1.6.4- FixedYour view settings now reach all your devices. Choose the compact list on your phone and your computer follows while it is open, and the same goes for how the next bar opens a task and for the activity counters.
- ChangedCapturing on a phone no longer opens an editor. The task lands at the top of its list and the next bar closes, so you can capture one thing after another, and you can tap the task later to add details.

version 1.6.3- NewThe quiet ink look is now a deep ink black instead of a warm gray, which makes its text much easier to read. The tab and install icons keep tingdo's terracotta, so they do not disappear on a dark tab strip or look switched off on your home screen.
- ChangedA task due today now shows just its badge on a phone, without the day, month and time behind it. Tablets and computers still show the full date.
- FixedThe task list no longer resizes itself a moment after it appears. Rows come up in the size you chose right away, instead of starting roomy and switching.
- NewThe color switch in Settings is quieter. With color off you see the switch alone, and turning it on opens the swatches again and brings back the color you had.
- NewCompact Tasks is a new switch under Appearance that puts each task on one line, on your phone and on your computer. It replaces the old Desktop Compact View switch, and if you had that on you start in Compact Tasks.

version 1.6.2- NewMoving between screens is quicker. tingdo now loads the pages in the menu before you click them, and the app's fonts come with the app, so text appears at once and looks right offline.
- FixedThe wrong theme no longer flashes when tingdo starts. If you picked dark while your device is set to light, or the other way round, the first moment of every cold start used to show your device's theme and then jump to yours.
- FixedTask titles are easier to read in dark mode. The color used for titles, the date line and the today and earlier badges is now lifted in dark mode, so it stands out from the card behind it.
- FixedZooming into a picture on your phone now works the way you expect. Pinch anywhere and the image grows from between your fingers, double tap zooms into the spot you tapped, and text in a zoomed screenshot is sharp instead of blurry.
- NewThe default look is quiet now: if you never picked a color, your lists, menus and titles are not tinted. Settings has a new switch to turn color on, and a color you already chose is untouched.

version 1.6.1- NewSubprojects now show on a project card: up to four names, then a count for the rest, and each name takes you into that project. You can also file a project that already exists under another one from the add subproject row.
- ChangedA project's progress bar now counts the tasks in its subprojects. A project that only holds other projects no longer sits at zero while its children fill up.
- ChangedA project page no longer says there are no tasks yet when open work sits in its subprojects. The Subprojects section carries the screen instead of asking you for a next action.
- FixedRenaming a context now shows on every screen. The old name used to stay in some places, like the context filter on your status pages, the rows in the menu and the tags in the logbook.
- FixedAn impossible date no longer breaks the pages a task appears on. The next bar now reads more ways to write a date, such as 13.9., 13/9/26, jan15 or 15jan, and it refuses a day the calendar does not have.

version 1.6.0- FixedCreating a task from the next bar works again after you pick a project or context from the suggestion list. Before, the list went empty and Enter did nothing.
- FixedThe filing chip on a task with no project says No Project again, instead of Not filed.
- FixedSyncing works as it should again. A device whose clock ran a few minutes fast could keep its own copy of a task and ignore later edits from your other devices, and a task you had just captured could disappear from the list for a moment.
- FixedSelecting text in a task no longer shows it crossed out.

version 1.5.7- NewThe feedback form now offers a short list of reasons to tap if you rate tingdo badly and have no time to write. If you say nothing at all, you get one short email asking what did not work, and you never have to answer it.
- FixedYour lists now all sort the same way, and each list says how at the foot of the page: dates that have arrived first, then undated tasks in the order you arranged them, then the dates still ahead. The weekly review follows the same order, and the inbox is the one exception: it stays a single stream, newest first.
- FixedThe filter chips above a list now work together instead of replacing each other, so you can ask for one context inside one project. If nothing matches, you get a button to clear the filters instead of the empty list picture.

- FixedTodoist and TickTick imports now read more of your file: dates written as words become real dates, a checklist arrives as a working checklist, and tasks you gave up on land in your discarded list.
- FixedThe Google Tasks import now reads dates from both older and current Takeout archives, so your dates come across either way. A task with notes but no title takes its name from the first line of the notes, and empty tasks are counted in the report.

- NewShort cards now explain tingdo's controls the first time you meet them, on your first task, your first project, a full inbox and focus mode. Each card appears once and leaves for good when you press Got it.
- ChangedHeadings in your notes are set in plain text color now, so the only colored line in a note is its title. They keep the same shape on a phone as on a wider screen.
- ChangedThe welcome emails are easier to read now, with shorter sentences and plain everyday English. The mail about dates leads with the one idea that matters, and says that tingdo can work with the calendar you already use.

version 1.5.3- FixedImports read your files more carefully now: a date with a time of day lands on the right day, a German Outlook export keeps its umlauts, and semicolon files read like comma ones. Priorities are honest too: a Todoist file without them no longer marks every task urgent, and TickTick priorities come across.
- NewTwo new imports: Google Tasks reads your Google Takeout archive, and Microsoft To Do takes an export from classic Outlook or from one of the To Do exporter tools. Your lists, notes, checklists and states come along, and the upload step names the file type each source expects.
- FixedThe Delete button in a project, context or area now works the same way in all three: one quiet button in the edit dialog, which then offers to archive or complete instead. Nothing is removed until you press the button that commits it.
- ChangedArea cards now list the projects in that area, grouped by status, each with how far along it is and how much is still open. You can go straight to a project from the card, and the areas review shows the same rows.
- FixedDeleting an area or context no longer flashes an empty page on its way out, and creating or deleting one now fades like every other page change.
- NewA project's area is set in the project's edit dialog now, next to status and parent project, instead of as chips in the project header. You see the grouping where you review: on area cards, on an area's page, and in the filter on your projects list.

version 1.5.2- NewA focus session can be deleted now: pull the trim slider all the way back to the start and a Delete session button appears, with a small bin at the end of the track so you can see it coming. Every session in the log can be opened, including the very short ones.
- ChangedThe focus icon is a small held circle now instead of a lightning bolt, because focus mode holds one task rather than rushing it. The bolt means one thing again, next actions in your weekly review.
- FixedDurations now read the same everywhere, in focus mode, the logbook and your export: one clock, like 4:32 h, so a column of times is easy to compare. The small clock icon beside each duration is gone, and the h stays lowercase.
- FixedThe quiet screen in focus mode works again. An open session list or a note in the footer used to switch the fade off for your whole visit, and now the screen goes quiet whenever you sit still.
- FixedThe back gesture on Android now does what the screen you are on does. It asks before you leave a weekly review, and it closes an open dialog, the next bar or the task editor instead of the page behind them.
- FixedA long review list now starts at the top, so the first task is fully visible instead of sitting above the edge of the screen. Short lists stay centered.
- FixedUndo on a follow-up you made in the weekly review now removes the follow-up too, instead of leaving it behind while the original comes back.
- FixedNotes on cards and in search results read as text now. Quote marks, list markers and long link addresses no longer push your own words out of the line.

version 1.5.1- FixedThe section icons on Settings and Account now follow your accent color, and so does the bar that shows your storage use. The accent in tingdo's emails also stays true for Ochre and Dawn instead of drifting toward orange.
- FixedThe app's title bar now shows your accent color reliably, instead of falling back to the default now and then.
- ChangedThe five welcome emails now arrive in the accent color you picked during setup, in the light behind the card and in the one bold line. Password resets and address confirmations keep tingdo's own terracotta on purpose.
- ChangedA follow-up task from the weekly review now quotes the task it came from and takes the same contexts, so you can see what you are chasing. The link back to the original stays inside tingdo instead of opening a browser tab.
- NewFocus time now counts only the time you are really there: time with tingdo in the background does not count, and a focus view you left open closes its session at your last activity. Below the task you get one line per session, and you can trim a session that logged more than you worked.
- ChangedHeadings in your notes now carry your accent color, so you can see the shape of a longer note before you read a word. The tint stays readable on light and dark backgrounds with any accent.
